Trace SWIFT transactions
How can I trace a SWIFT transaction?
A Tracer request is used to track a payment when it has not been credited to the beneficiary’s account or remains pending beyond the expected processing time. It helps identify where the payment is stuck across intermediary banks.
When to Raise a Tracer Request
Raise a tracer request when:
- A SWIFT GPI payment remains pending beyond the expected settlement time.
- Funds have been deducted from the sender’s account but not credited to the beneficiary.
- There is no response from the payment connector or intermediary banks.
- The transaction requires verification due to incorrect details or compliance issues.
How to Raise a Tracer Request
For Payouts
- To initiate a tracer request for a payout made from Finmo, share the respective Payout ID to us at [email protected].
For Payins
- Since Finmo does not have visibility into incoming funds until they are received, tracing a Payin requires assistance from the sender’s bank. Please contact the sender’s bank directly with the necessary sender and transfer details.
Please refer to the sample Tracer to understand the format and appearance of a Tracer.
