Payins
Overview
Collect payments locally across multiple countries via bank accounts, virtual accounts, QR codes, and e-wallets. The PAYIN infrastructure is designed to offer a seamless local experience while giving flexibility to settle funds either locally or globally.
Supported Countries
Finmo supports 40+ Payin currencies. Find more information on the currency-specific payin methods, refer to the Payin api docs.
PAYIN Models
Model | Description |

Collect & Settle (Locally or Globally) | Funds collected and settled in the same country and currency, OR into a global account |
Collect & Payout | Funds collected are used for local or global payouts |
Payin Statuses
Detail the key status changes in a Payin transaction.
Status | Description |
---|---|
CREATED | Payin request is sent via API |
CANCELLED | Payin was cancelled (if selected while creation) |
PENDING | Payin is being processed; awaiting fund receipt confirmation |
AWAITING_FUNDS | If the customer has completed the transaction, but Finmo is still waiting to receive funds from the partner bank |
COMPLETED | Once credits are successfully applied |
EXPIRED | The checkout link expired before a payment was made |
FAILED | Payin processing failed |
Information
When a customer attempts a partial payment against a PENDING Payin, Finmo typically returns the funds to the sender. However, if the sender’s bank or network does not support automatic reversals, the funds may need to be manually accepted.
