Maker Checker
Maker Checker adds an extra layer of authorization before a transaction is executed. This system ensures thorough transaction monitoring and helps prevent fraud.
There are two roles in Maker Checker:
Maker: Can only create payouts.
Checker: Approves payout requests, allowing them to be executed.
Note: Maker Checker is currently available for local payouts only.
Adding New User as Maker Checker
- Merchant will login to Finmo Dashboard,
- Under organization tab, Merchant can add new Admin users either as Maker-Checker or Maker.
Maker-Checker Sub-Role:
- This user can create and approve payouts.
- Payouts initiated by Maker-Checker do not require additional approval and proceed immediately.
- This user can also create new users.
Maker Sub-Role:
- This user can only create payouts that must be approved by Maker-Checker.
- They cannot create new users.
Creating Payout by Maker
To create a payout as a Maker:
- Login: Maker login into the Finmo Dashboard.
- Navigate: Go to the "Payout" section and click on "Create Payout Request."
- Create Request:
- While creating the payout request, the Maker will be notified that the payout must be approved by a Maker-Checker to proceed.
- Fill in the required details and submit the payout request.
- Approval Notification: The Maker-Checker will be notified to approve the payout request.
Note:
- When a Maker creates a transaction, the amount will be reserved to ensure sufficient funds are available for processing upon approval.
- If the transaction is rejected, the funds will be released.
Approving Payout Request by Admin (Maker-Checker)
An Admin (Maker-Checker) can approve or reject a payout request by following these steps:
- Notification: After a payout request is created, the Admin (Maker-Checker) will be notified via email or a notification on the Dashboard.
- Review Request: Navigate to the details page of the payout request.
- Approve or Reject: On the details page, the Admin (Maker-Checker) can either approve or reject the payout request.
Note: Payout requests are valid for only 10 days. If not approved within this period, they will be automatically rejected.
